The most relevant activities and projects from last year, as well as the main results of the period, occupy the pages of the Dara Institute’s recently launched 2023 Report.
The publication compiles the initiatives carried out by the areas that make up our operating methodology, the Family Action Plan – Health, Education, Income Generation, Housing and Citizenship –, as well as achievements on other fronts of the institution, such as Knowledge, Expansion and Institutional Relationship.
1,733 people, from 476 families, were assisted during the year.
Behind all actions, a desire to transform lives. “Despite all the difficulties (…) that the world and Brazil have been facing, we believe that the more governments and organizations mobilize to implement methodologies to combat poverty and human development, such as the Family Action Plan, created by the Dara Institute, the lower inequality will be in our country and in the world”, writes Dr. Vera Cordeiro, founder and chairwoman of the Dara Institute, in the opening text of the report.
Commitment to transparency
The publication of Dara’s 2023 Report is in line with the institution’s commitment to transparency, making available to all its stakeholders – employees, volunteers, sponsors, donors and society as a whole – information about our activities, projects and results achieved. On the pages of the document, it is possible to find data about our management, projects and initiatives, donations received and expenses incurred, as well as our commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations (UN).
