From August 16 onward, the series Meu, Seu, Nosso (Mine, Yours, Ours) will be availale on the Aquarius streaming platform. Directed by Marcos Prado and João Jardim, the series has ten episodes and proposes to discuss the state of philanthropy in Brazil. Seven social entrepreneurs and 16 specialists from different areas participate in the program. The project was conceived by the Abilio Diniz family and produced by Zazen Produções and Ana Maria Diniz.
Dr. Vera Cordeiro, founder and Chair of the Board of Directors of the Dara Institute, is featured in one of the episodes. Other episodes also feature social entrepreneurs such as David Hertz (Gastromotiva), Neide Suruí (Kanindé Association) and Bismarck Araújo (Retratos de Esperança). What all of the social entrepreneurs have in common is how each of their lives has been transformed by the social impact of the programs to which they have been passionately dedicated.
“While we sought to describe these individuals and their work, we also found it important to raise the discussion of what makes human beings have empathy and really care about the other, whether this is innate or not. In addition, we tried to understand why there is still no consolidated culture of philanthropy in the country, which ranks 89th in the world”, says Marcos Prado.
The Meu, Seu, Nosso series is only available in Brazil.
