Signatories of the National Pact for Early Chilhood visit Dara

On December 3rd and 4th, the Dara Institute hosted 30 signatories of the National Pact for Early Childhood at its headquarters in Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro.

The Pact was created by the Conselho Nacional de Justica (CNJ)/National Justice Council of Justice in 2019, to ensure the full development and well-being of children ages 0 to 6 years, and reinforces a commitment to create a just future for Brazilian children.

The event brought together representatives of municipal and state, public and private organizations, to deepen the understanding of Dara’s innovative, social methodology: the Family Action Plan, an intersectoral model that combines actions in the areas of health, education, income generation, housing and citizenship, to overcome poverty and promote quality of life and development of families.

Partnerships that transforms lives

One of Dara’s early childhood initiatives that most impressed the visitors was that of the partnership with the Court of Justice of the State of Rio de Janeiro, which implements the Early Childhood Judicial Policy, corresponding to the National Justice Council Resolution No. 470/2022. In this program, families of children whose rights had been violated were referred to Dara to undergo Dara’s Family Action Plan where they received personal support and support in health, education, housing and income generation.
