The Dara Institute’s over thirty-year history of combating poverty and promoting health and human development is told in the pages of the book The Power of Beginning.
The book was written by Dr. Vera Cordeiro, founder and Chair of the Board of Directors of Instituto Dara, in collaboration with journalist Roberta Pennafort. It’s the result of four years of conversations, research, testimonies and stories told by Dr. Cordeiro to the journalist, who managed to reflect the author’s passion and determination with which she defends Dara’s mission.
The Power of Beginning is available in e-book format through Amazon.com. All revenue from the sale of the book is invested in the Dara Institute’s programs.
